Would a sprayer pump work if the pto was going in the opposite direction?

Thinking on it again the pipes would have to be swapped, then swapped back to go back on the tractor, so it’s a non starter.

the valves on a diaphram pump control the direction of the flow so it doesn't matter which direction it turns the result will be the same. we ran an auxiliary one in reverse years ago and the liquid went in and came out the same pipes as originally.
