Sprayers and powders

There were discussions a while ago about mixer tanks but can't find it.
Anyway when putting powders in through the Bateman bowl the sides aren't steep enough and the rinse water doesn't flush it off very well. So what I'm looking for is a big inductor bowl with steep sides with an aggressive rinse system and a big 3 phase pump that can take powders and granules away as quickly as you can shovel them in. And I'm not talking about 1kg/ha either, more along the lines of 10 to 20 so up to 800 in a tankful.

when putting in quantities like that it’s not just getting them out of the induction hopper it is how they are added to the tank.
My Amazone induction hopper will take Bittersalts away as fast as I can pour them in BUT it all goes in the bottom of the tank and then jams up the filter before it has dissolved properly 🤦🤦🤦
Have to be really careful in adding a bag then switch to circulate for a bit and repeat. Jammed it up too many times already due to my impatience 🤣🤣

Watson and Brooklyn induction hopper takes it well so may just be easier swapping to that rather than a whole purpose built mixing system. Good point made above about where it ends up too though. Never had any issues here.

If it’s 800kg a tank I would look at Premix would be a lot less hassle and quicker especially if it’s trace elements and do big batches
I premix some traces and it’s so much quicker I open the bags in to the bucket and tip into mixing tank

No wonder you're looking for staff!🤦‍♂️
I am the sprayer man!
Other option is liquids, the bateman induction hopper takes it away fine but takes a while and the angle of repose isn't steep enough to funnel it all to the bottom and if you turn on the rinse ring full blast it can't get away quickly enough.
It almost looks like I could fit a different induction hopper and if I had 2" in and out with the right venturi it would be better than the current setup. In the past I used epso combitop every spray which is 5kg/ha (but couldn't get it last year) then if we add in some other stuff could be 10kg/ha so maybe not the quoted 800 right enough! J would be apply enough to put it on the sprayer itself as the pump is quite big, 500lpm, I think.

Rightly or wrongly, I find leaving the rinse ring turned off, can wash turned on to keep the bottom clear and keeping the sides as dry as possible works best. Tip the powder in gently and not too much at once or it bungs everything up. Wash the sides with the hand Lance when finished.

Settled on this strategy after getting myself in a real pickle with a bag of mancozeb …….🤦‍♂️

We've all been there!
Could the venturi be worn?
