If you are in Red Tractor, you ought to be advised by a BASIS registered agronomist even if that’s from a phone call. PA1 and whatever module you’re using e.g. PA2A for a boom sprayer. The RT inspector will want to see the operator on the records as a member of the National Register of Sprayer Operators. Your records will also need evidence of the agronomist’s details and a NSTS test for the sprayer if it’s old enough.

Provided you have the certificates for spraying and have followed the stipulations on the label of the product, you are totally legal. An agronomists recommendation is not necessary but does help keep the paperwork tidy. There are plenty of people who will go down to their local ag suppliers and buy a can of pas-tor to put on grassland. This is all legal.

Hi thanks for all the advise, just to answer a few questions. The company isn't a member of Red Tractor, it's horses. Breeding race horses.
The problem i have is that i don't have the paper work to use a boom sprayer, so have a member of staff who does. However he doesn't like doing it so throws up reasons why he can't go spraying. The last reason was that he didn't have an agronomist report. Thanks again for all your help.
