spreading beans

has anyone ever spread beans on top of overwintered ploughing in the spring and then harrowed them in with say a light tractor and KKK?
not sure ill get a drill over the field if I powerharrow or tine it first. very soft in bottom of furrow

Yup.

Up rates a bit Vs drilled. Levelled it with power Harrow if dry, or couple of times with a KKK. Then charge some pigeon shooters a tenner a day for the easy targets.

Yes. Was 2009 or 2010. February was full of drying easterlies with frost. Dragged and drilled ploughing valentine's weekend. Then dry all summer. Brown rust in alchemy wheat. Beans cut dry mid August. Nile variety.

A few years ago we drilled some early March, it then turned wet and we didn’t get to drill the rest till early April.
Harvested the first week in September with no yield difference in the drilling dates.

I have done it before, either via fert spreader or a drill dropping the seed on the surface, and then KKK tined in. It worked well and I got a good crop for low cost
