Are these prices delivered AND spread? Does it have some neutralising value? I remember Father getting some basic slag delivered and spread, he reckoned it was great stuff.

We can collect if we want as they store the stuff only 10 miles away from here. But do get them to drop the odd full load in from time to time .

I heard Wynnstay do it. When I enquired somewhere, I ended up getting a phone call from the local lime man 3 miles away, so I suppose a lot will supply it. He never did get back with a price though.:scratchhead:

So that's where Australians get this trait of never calling back with a price from..YEE OLD ENGLAND..You think after 200 plus years we would have bred that out of people...

You have to call to ask for it, it's generaly sold on buyers call.
Poor customer service, if a farmer orders a product from you are you saying it is their fault if they forget to ask for it to be delivered
until it is required?
If you are only an order taker then I understand, but if you are a service provider then think this is wrong.

No sorry what I mean is, it is a bulk delivered product that tends to be spread within a few days of delivery, I always ask my guys to call me when they have land ready to spread it on (I am often chasing them to remind them to let me know) as opposed to me pushing for delivery when they aren't ready. Good customer service I would say. You are correct that the supplier should be on to them to remind them, but I won't deliver until it's called for ie; they are ready for it. Generally we have it delivered within 2-3 days of the phone call to say they want it and often spread the day after delivery depending on the contractors schedule.

To revive an old thread,

Fibrophos has been suggested to me as a way to lift our levels. Anyone got an upto date price delivered to North Derbyshire?

Best time to spread?
Pros and cons?
How much can I spread at one time?

Try Farm Marketplace on this forum for supply.Your Agronomist is FACTS qualified ,I expect, to give advice or just ask Hatchers direct?

Doesn't sound like enough acres for a lorry load, depending on how big the 'patch' is?
Are K levels ok? If they are you'll be wanting a P biased grade like P-Grow.
