You needn’t have carried the big adjustable out, 12 inch would have been more than adequate. ???
Are you trying to undo a seized stop tap Bankrupt to start irrigating?
Dont worry you are not the only one with drought stressed crops , we can all post pictures of our own, its just your brave enough.
I'll post up the yield, in due course - our previous low for SO was just on 2t/Ha in 1976, but then we had 4x the rain in May that we've had this year.drought stressed crops
Have to admit I just glanced at the photo and had to go back and look again when I read your post .... I thought the shiny thing was a gate post ???You needn’t have carried the big adjustable out, 12 inch would have been more than adequate. ???

The benefits of heavy land.
No Fendt tractor, Michelin tyre, Horsch drill or trailed sprayer was used in the making of this crop. But surely that's impossible I hear you say.
Just trying to make my mind up whether it needs 0.35 of Terpal tomorrow.
The bits of ours that look like that on our heavier land had 0.35l of Terpal early this morning before the wind and heat got up, the lighter bits which dont look like that I left it out and just did the fungicide.View attachment 882661

We went straight into an autumn seedbed with the vaderstad at full depth. Dry on top, still wet 20mm down.Unfortunately the establishment on our heavy land has been poor this year with some massive empty areas, struggled to get a chit

Anybody that moved their ground round here were only saved by the 25-30mm we had at the end of April. We were up in rows by then. I guess you missed that welcome rain.
Same . Dad's always said get it ploughed before Christmas or it's only half a crop .Unfortunately the establishment on our heavy land has been poor this year with some massive empty areas, struggled to get a chit
