It's T=1000 in TGW rather than TGW=100 for a reason. The extra time in reducing your sampling error by 1/(10^2) is worth it / buying a seed counting thing.

It's how many seeds isn't it... you may only need 50 kg an acre.

Never had a problem with anything else. Field went completely flat from side to side which wouldn't have helped grain fill.

A bit progressive going metric? I always reckoned on a cwt and a half to the acre.

Got 2 batches of seed one at 43 tgw and another at 51, its being suggested that I use the same seed rate for both!? 380 seeds/m2 of the 43tgw would then become 320 seeds/m2 for the 51tgw, which I would suggest could be a suboptimal seed rate

TBF barley of any sort but especially spring isn't really a black land crop....
Though I have some hybrid in a field with black patches
A lot of black land growers just grow wheat and roots..... What's your thinking about growing barley?

1.6 to 1.8 cwt/acre depending on how heavy the land is.TGW isn't considered.
