£510 best quote I've had so far, Frontier as usual were dearer at £527 and been offered a Seed contract with buy back contract @ approx £600/t

Was quoted £465 Fuego, £490 Vertigo yesterday... they can still fudge off at that! Thats £210/t for the beans and £250-280/ton to run though the cleaner, something like 1/50th of a germination and nematode test and a bit for a bag and delivery, someone is talking us for mugs!

£60.39 for the royalty, then it has to be delivered. Some failures along the way to the seed plant, and admin for it all.

Still a decent markup for them! That's supply & demand for you.

Buy some winters as feed and bang them in now 👀

I see where you're coming from, but check whether they desiccated them pre harvest with glyphosate since they were only feed and send a sample off for germination + stem nematode + ascochyta testing.

Does pre-harvest glyphosate on a bean crop ever touch a bean? My current crop of volunteers suggests its doesn't :bag:

My fss Tundra with pre harvest glypho never seem to have an issue growing. Always 90+% germination when I’ve checked. I have sown straight off the heap before if they look clean enough. I think I may have a couple of ton left actually. Ideal for feeding beef cattle.
