Spring crops really struggling

Slightly off topic but does anyone else find propino downs tools as soon as the going gets a bit rough? Never find it as tough as Tipple which I would still be growing but you have to move with the maltsters. I guess Planet is what I will move on to next, anybody got some side by side to compare? Is it any tougher? Or are there any others I should be considering?

I'm not that impressed with Propino. Also seems to get a fair amount of disease.

I found propino took me by surprise. Just seemed to grow along ground for a start then took off . We grew it for feed. First year not growing it. Replaced it with scholar.

Zerotill of course - if we had cultivated I don’t think they would hardly be full time yet even !

My tilled ones look similar. May drilled.

Think the east had had a few good showers we have missed - it’s very dry here now and basically nothing has fallen on these yet post drilling

Really hope the forecast for tomorrow / weekend is right - things will loook a lot better next week if it does

We sew canyon as a cover for grass seed to keep the bloody geese off more than any thing else and they grew a tremendous crop but cattle weren't keen on the silage they made too stalky, trying aspen this year.

We replaced Propino with Irina, which looks good so far. It could use a drink to be sure, but it's still growing
Have you got an end market for your Irina? We have also switched from Propino to Irina but have since been told it might not be so easy to market as Propino/Planet. Does look good so far and better recommended list scores than Propino so hopefully it will be worth something once harvested.
