Oats in two adjacent fields. Only difference is one was drilled Infront of the rain and one after. Thinner one has had 13mm in 25 days. And looking dry ahead.

Put some nutrient on today and a bit of pgr to get it to work a bit.

Mine started ok and despite warm days the spring barley is really not enjoying life Trying to convince myself its building roots but it looks like its going backwards as its so cold at night.
Mine is the same but not from cold nights just N still sitting on top and not washed in.

Came up looking great and then got the bulk of its N. Hardly a drop of rain since and now looks terrible and very manganese deficient . Been holding off herbicides to give it a chance and not stress it more but considering just spraying it the once as late as possible and shutting the gate until harvest and just seeing what I get .

Worst are a few fields I used urea in , it got a bit more N than where I used extran but looks so hungry and stressed it's hellish.

Same with me.
Just in from doing T1 in spring barleys. Even this early on i’m certain it will be back at least 0.5t/acre on average for past 5 years.
Nothing sown until 20th April on but all into good seedbeds. Plenty plants but just hasn't tillered like normal. Only decent fields are those that got dung this year or last.
I’d imagine those with grain & Fert drills will be seeing a big benefit from them this year.

Anyone got any peas? Not the weather that’s holding ours back now, it’s the bl**dy pigeons.
Yes 30 Hectares of sakura. Look as good at the moment as they have done for many years. Got 8 gas guns out, numerous kites and flags. moving them about every 3 days and just about keeping pigeons off but having said that we have a persistent group of a hundred or so that keeping dropping in on the headlands and all we seem to do is push them off one bit and onto another headland. I keep meaning to take a gun down with a few decoys and have a go at them. Don't seem to have the time, always moving gas guns and flags!
