Will hopefully get spring barley drilled this week.
Spring beans will be going in with the Claydon but on some heavy cold ground so will wait another week at least.

Barley finished here Sunday. Started 25feb. Been stop start.

I'm well behind you others😰

I have two fields which we did some remedial drainage work on over winter and that's still too wet where we put ruts in and I have another 40 odd acres of my "heavy" that was ploughed just before the rain can at the end of September and that has wet spots that won't hold a tractor yet.

Still putting muck on some of the beet land but could be ploughing and drilling some beet if I had the seed.

On a brighter not the wheat drilled in January and barley drilled a fortnight ago is doing well, we could just do with some warmer weather.

I’m behind, lots of fert to spread, and still some land coming beet to plough that’s very wet and rutted from muck application.

Everything is up to speed with fert although the barley will be wanting the rest before long and I sprayed everything with MN over the weekend. My mate is making his way around the farm rolling everything that's dry enough.
A few dry days and we'll be getting sorted and will wonder what all the fuss was about.....hopefully.

slight change of plan, beans in yesterday afternoon ,went well had a broken land drain to avoid maybe 20sq yards so will live with that. On now with sp barley after a 10mile move this morning with another 15 mile move after lunch and hopefully 12 mile home before bed just over 100 acres in 3 blocks ,roller following round 24hr later then another off block to do not yet decided wether to plough or sow through recently roundupped stubble as its relatively light land as an experiment or if weather with us might do half and half im loath to give the plough up its always allowed us to get a crop and riding round some but not all of the "scratched "ww looks awful too many thin bare patches for my liking
