Spring drilling advice

I'll have to agree with you there now...the last three years have been rubbish for our technique, long cold dry springs after drilling isn't ideal for getting spring crops up and away when the ground has been sucked dry by covers. How are your spring crops looking this year @Banana Bar ?
Well, my pure dd looks average at best, where I shallow tilled in the autumn and pulled it lightly in front of the drill in the spring, they look great! Not very PC but I’m very happy with them.

Heavy land, previous crop buckwheat, 3 cm depth, rolled after drilling. 30 kg N + 7 kg S along with the seed, 30 kg N, 30 kg P, 30 kg K, 22 kg S broadcasted before drilling.
My first try at no till SB. Almost no rain this spring and the weather is bloody cold. Hopefully some rain will come at the end of the week and next week.
Straw management is crucial which I have found in our farm in this years winter wheat. Straw raking, rolling, crop rotation .. This year will try to use some bacteria on the stubble to help braking the straw quicker.
