Aim for 400 or soWhat seeds per m2 would that be?
Less if sowed early in march but usually the above for early April
350-450 march - April
Tgw 38 or so
I get far better yields at higher seeding rates with oats so won't be changing

What variety and bushel do you need for millingI have always drilled ours at the same rate as Spring Barley 185-200kg/ha however going to cut it to try to improve specific weight. Have always been ok in the past but last years were very light and never made milling grade.
Oats in General Need a good swig of that Sunshine in a Can to be honest but time it right & leave them for 3wks after. What about the straw , does it need some liquid sunshine to make it fit to bale ?

Anything really, usually wheat unless it's a root crop. What do you follow them with?
Chopped oat straw gives fantastic weed suppression when left on the top.
.And wheat suppression. Fair enough if you are after that. I'll plough it all in in preference.
