DD or no DD, the ground wants to be warming up and absolutely no frost forecast any more. I wouldn’t even think about till at least April.

Do you think CSFB will be any different for Spring Rape as opposed to Winter Rape?
Haven't a clue, but as no one around here grows Spring OSR I've just got this madness into my head it might be an interesting experiment on a couple of fields. :nailbiting:

Grow a little field for some HSS then increase area following year if you want a crack at it.. Need to plant a robust rate. Bought in seed is often your margin :X3: good break though for following wheat though. Pollen beetle can hammer it as well. March sowing is fine if weather plays ball and soil is warm. Best crop here did 1.3t/ac. Worst crop didn’t make the combine
Black or Red anyone..?

I might have to do it just to settle the curiosity ( it did ok last time I tried, but that was a few years ago ) thinking about lightly discing part of the field and DD the other to see if there’s any difference in establishment.
Tried Soya and failed, had enough of scraping peas off the floor and a bit wary of Canary seed. Tried Millet, but never put it through the combine as that died and there was only 2 acre to cut.
