Spring ryegrass herbicide options

I dont really pay much attention to ryegrass herbicides but will need some for this wheat after stewardship.

Best option for ryegrass, ideally not Atlantis style, and what conditions and timings? Wheat had 0.6 liberator plus avadex preem.

Do any of the mixes do blws too or better options for those?

From personally experience I'd say use Broadway star, I've found it very useful on rye grass and will mop up BLW.

Broadway Star, does a few blw's, will give enough suppression of cleavers.

I've used it a fair bit in the past as a one hit wonder and I've never needed anything else, I've found it'll tidy up AMG and oats as well.

As above, Broadway Star will do ryegrass well, along with most BLW and oats. The soil does need to be a couple of degrees warmer than for Atlantis, so you will be close to GS30 before being able to spray successfully, depending on the season. You can still check the crop but it's not as bad as Atlantis or Pacifica.

Don't put it in a big tank mix, condition your water if necessary and add a non ionic wetter. Some use oil or Biopower with it.

Edited to add: How big is the ryegrass? On second thoughts, you definitely want some oil with it as IRG has a waxy cuticle you'll need to cut through & do it as an individual pass as you'll dewax the crop at the same time.

Mineral or methylated adjuvant oil

Ryegrass is not big. Not overly much tbh. But various broad leaved relics from the ab15.

I always do spring grass herbicides on their own.

In that situation I would do broadway star. Provided the ryegrass isn't huge (then it becomes an axial job).

Wait until the crop is starting to move and the weather and soil are warm so the weeds are woken up. Condition your water if necessary and then use broadway star + biopower or better yet, drill. I've tank mixed them before loads of times with other things but on an average arable crop you are better to do the weed control and see how the crop responds before considering any PGR or fungicide. Perhaps put manganese in with your T0 if the crop gets stalled, look at the crop nearer the time to assess.

I have had excellent results with broadway star, does a good few BLWs at the same time, just not the 'definite' spring germinators like the polyngums from memory.

if your plauged with it you will have to live with some, but sring barley at a high seed rate has helped here but we can use the barley.
