Spring sown Winter oats

First real go at direct drilling. Mascani winter oats sown into chopped wheat stubble on April 5. Bit of a gamble but I thought the field was in good enough condition to give it a go and with the hot weather had dried nicely on top with decent amount of moisture underneath. Tried to sow into moisture so about 50-60mm with CO4 with 2 1/2 Inch Dutch openers. Came up fairly well but then just sat there not doing much with lack of moisture. The rain in the last two weeks has really made the difference and considering the variety and sowing date am fairly pleased so far.

Direct drilling Winter Oats into worn our grass , Erth Disc Drill 3 inch spacing. Would that be a success. Sorry in not up to speed on these things . Gave up arable 10 years ago but the simple direct drilling system is fuelling my interest again
