Spring tine Harrow Recommendations

Since we've out wintered most of the cattle again this year, we are looking for a tine harrow to level the old Kale ground and the other poached fields. i will direct drill into them after spraying it off but want a reasonable surface first.

Even though these are silage fields I'm not keen on putting the power harrow into it! (Rocks)

Can any one recommend an old type spring tine harrow for the job £500 budget.

Or if any one has something that would do the job

I think you would be better of with a set of disc and a land leveller

Spring tines or triple k tines are designed to work in loose ground, after a plough etc, by the time your poached ground has dried enough to work they will snap for fun.

we used to use a thing called a "Pigtail" cultivator, think triple K on steroids, I'm sure if you traveled around enough you'll find one blocking a gateway, knick it for a day, and hope the Caravans don't roll in!

If you have rocks a triple K will be a nightmare. It is surprising how good a job an old chain harrow will do

I just Googled images of Pig Tine Clutivator. I would have thought someone like Doe's/ Agri Linc would have something? Or TFF Calssifieds?

Massey Ferguson spring tine cultivator fits on tractor | eBay you want more legs ive got a twose one with finer legs which does an ok job of messy ground after as few passes.

a pigtail or triple k will pull up more stone than a power harrow going a couple of inches deep. if it is rock heads a set of discs as suggested would be best.
