depends a bit on the amount ,time of sowing ,state of seedbed ,. plus your belief in the future weather forecast, here our standard practice would be up to 2/3rds on after sowing and the rest a couple of weeks later following or in front of a rain ideally but thats sp barley havnt grown spring wheat for years other than early sown ww varieties which last year had the same treatment and did okHi all, first time sowing spring wheat tomorrow, is it best to put all nitrogen in seedbed as I do with spring barley or put half down now and half later?

Personally I have always been happy spraying in litres a hectare, but always found units an acre much easier when it came to fert spreading.
