Spring wheat nitrogen

Hi all, first time sowing spring wheat tomorrow, is it best to put all nitrogen in seedbed as I do with spring barley or put half down now and half later?

depends a bit on the amount ,time of sowing ,state of seedbed ,. plus your belief in the future weather forecast, here our standard practice would be up to 2/3rds on after sowing and the rest a couple of weeks later following or in front of a rain ideally but thats sp barley havnt grown spring wheat for years other than early sown ww varieties which last year had the same treatment and did ok

I have to say I agree with you, I thought we'd left all that behind. We won't go back now though, too many youngsters know nothing else.
Personally I have always been happy spraying in litres a hectare, but always found units an acre much easier when it came to fert spreading.
The ironic thing is though, land and farms are still sold in acres.

Metric system is so much easier to understand and calculate if you're a certain age or less ! 🤣
However @Cordiale is very sensible - use whatever system you like so long as you can handle the maths
