Squirrels in Grainstore

Could anyone please suggest the best type of feeder to get squirrels to take bait in and around a grainstore.

Rifle sounds a good option could try a cage trap or fenn trap

They are suckers for running through a tunnel so very easy to trap . I don't bother baiting the trap and used to get more squirrels , in traps set around the farm buildings for rats , than rats .

If you have mink, you won't get Otters for which can be far worse.

A friends fishery had an otter problem. But soon as a couple of mink appeared, no otters.

Bin up about 4 year , best thing ive done.
But definatly get more mink now
As they will be able to squeeze thru mesh.
I also think they know its a otter free zone.
But i know which problem id sooner have .

I've had the opposite! Otter as the top predator won't tolerate the mink.

We found that a floating cage on a raft worked well but where it was positioned in our pond seemed to affect the catch rate. No idea why or what the logic was for the different success at different locations though I'm afraid.

Do make sure hedgehogs can't get in the trap though.

They're REALLY difficult to get out of a Fenn trap...

What sort of trap
Ive considered floats , king span square??

It's a live trap that looks almost identical to this.

Ours is a bit of a tw*t to set as it's too sensitive somehow. Not sure what Dad baits it with, I'll ask but I'm guessing cat food. And yep, a piece of Kingspan or similar would be ideal, I think we've used a piece of polystyrene before about 2-3 foot square. It wants a piece of string or rope attached to it too, otherwise the mink might sail off with the trap!
