How are you harvesting. What is your boiler woodspec.

SRC is funny stuff and very few people harvest it correctly and then end up with problems. Never personally had a problem with either clinker or ash.
Could be interested in the SRC depending where it is and what variety.

Try Rob Richards from Eco2 at Snetterton Norfolk, they are actively looking for and buying SRC and would really like farmers to plant more of it on long term contracts. Finally - a power station that really wants this crop, just a shame so many farmers grubbed it up in recent years.

woodworm is correct about eco2 also iggsund are in the market for scr but on a long term contracts so now drax have stopped burning it their are two new players for scr. Their has been a lot of bad press about scr willow In our experience we have no clinker or to mutch ash off the 3 veto boilers we have and our local schools binder

Ah ok I was speaking to someone using veto boilers
I think our problem is it was put in as a shoot asset first and foremost so small areas dotted around the farm not viable to attract Iggsund . Oh and the quarry want to use one patch for soil storage next week !!

Try Rob wood from eco2 they have bought all the billets out of drax around about 40 000t so I am led to believe and are burning at brigg not sure of his number or try Neil Watkins at iggsund they are harvesting in chip form with us us at the moment for their workington plant. Did you grow it to burn your self?

yes that was the original plan as I say its small areas so Neil Watkins wasn't interested , I have been in contact with eco2 he would prefer billets but Strawsons are not keen on bringing a harvester up for small amounts. it would be better if we could burn it ourselves.
Has anyone in uk got one of the HSAB billeters looks a handy sized machine ?

Yes that's correct. I've spoken to Colin and he would like to invite you down so you can see how willow can work if your interested give him a call tomorrow. Would be a shame if you could not get it to work to burn it your self
