Starfire and EE

Is anyone else having problems with their starfire losing signal? We have a 3000 dome and apparently the reason is because of an recent upgrade to the EE network which uses very similar bandwidth/frequencies.
I made the point I have paid for a service, but John Deere want me to pay for the upgrade…

Would this previous discussion cover your issue (not the SW update part but the rest):

It sounds very similar but my dealer assures me this only came to light in the last week or 2.
We've had issues with 3000s for months now. We are mainly 6000s now since selling 2 combines that took the 3000 domes with them but the 1 3000 we have left on SF1 didn't work at all a couple of weeks ago when we tried it. Sent it in to be updated and still no better. Only thing that would help is to turn it into an RTK dome which isn't ideal as we don't need RTK. All our 6000s run SF3 or SF1 which is fine for what we need. Unfortunately the answer seems to be upgrade to 6000 domes which is naughty from Deeres but they are better and the eventual route everyone will take. Good luck getting hold of one though!

There have been issues with EE being bought by BT. As I understand it BT turned the correction signal bit off on the EE network late last year. The idea being that only the BT one was needed.
I use a roaming sim in my Fendt system, this was searching for the nonexistent signal which it thought was there and the guidance wouldn’t work.

New card and it’s all fine. @Will7 you could have a similar issue

The SF3000 domes will be susceptible to interference from 5G. My local dealer has an exchange scheme going with a reasonable part exchange for SF6000.

The 3000 domes will be ok away from populated areas so will be sent to Russia etc where 5G will be rare.

Clearly a win-win case. JD wins first when selling the new dome here and wins again when selling the old one to a Russian customer. :)
