If you have checked and your starter definitely need changing @ACEngineering do high speed starters, he may well be able to help. If you want to fault find your own starter shout ............
No your quite correct, the OP should check the original starter first, could be something simple like burnt contacts.Sorry @john432 didn't mean to complicate things, I must read all the replies before adding my bit.
