I'm guessing that to an extent salary will depend on local circumstances. If you are farming in an area of high employment with plenty of jobs on offer, then the salary will be substantially higher than if you farm in an area where jobs are like hens teeth.
We pay what the business can afford.

You have any just general farm hands then or all skilled personnel?

3 herdsman, 4 assistants, 3 GFW, 1 trainee and a tractor driver

Tractor driver and 1 GFW start at 7.30 and travel in, the rest have houses apart from a Polish GFW and the trainee who have free static caravans on site and I pay gas electric and water so any money they earn goes straight in there pocket

In Denmark minimum legal salary is with todays exchange rate £30.600 for 37 hours weekly and 5 weeks paid holiday/year. Extra if work is outside 7 to 16 and on weekends.

I didn’t know there was so big differences in so short distances.

If you hope for anyone with any skills, it’s from £36.000 and up. I wouldn’t hire the ones who get less than 35.000.

Herdsmen is from 42.000 to above 50.000 if they are good. Herdsmen are usually not on locked hours, but do not expect to work over 45 hours average.
