Wet tramlines drains running

How much rain have you had this month? We’ve got away lightly compared to some with just over 100mm.

Definitely! Not looking to promising at the moment though
And another 10 -14 days of this and I doubt it will be to late for grain fill on the winter barleys 
. I was hoping for some big bold grains with the barley been on the thinner shorter side but not holding my breath now.

Close season until 1st August.
Of course, they well know this and they'll be off at the end of July and all back here in March., hoping we've had a good autumn's drilling.

Winter Barley has just started turn here, it looks less green in real life. As predicted a couple of the headlands are starting to lean a bit.

Last week of June though it might be a bit earlier this year.
I would gladly come down and help out with the problem, the stags on most deer are in season at the moment as the does may have dependents. There is actually a law which states that you can cull deer out of season if they are "actively cause damage" not that I would do that unless I knew the doe did not have a dependent, which you could never tell.

Yes, they're classed as vermin if damaging crops and can prove it to get a license ! Also need to hammer them in season, as opposed to "manage" numbers..! Which effectively means stalkers taking out trophies and leaving general population for a lifetimes stalking....
Yes, unfortunately the number taken out last season was everywhere much reduced due to many orders being cancelled from restaurants shut by Covid.

The price did fall out of bed which stopped a lot of “management” here as well. Currently having between 30-50 reds making a right mess in my spring oats each evening and the management team watching them
