Gleam getting some mineral pre T2. I've halved my estimated roguing time in this (57ac) field to 30 hours. Very pleased that 90 percent of the BG seems to all be in one and a half tramlines so will begin "the discipline" while waiting for fungicide.

Had a walk /ride round yesterday and for the first time in 2 years had a spring in my step coming home,sp barley now moving with the help of the warmth ,looks like the decision not sow the planned wb and leave it till spring might have been be the right choice ,sp beans at last full emerged other than a couple of bits that really shouldnt have been sown . W wheat is fair romping in response to the foliar feed ,now a healthy dark green and has thickened up .Gleam gravity and skyscraper all clean and the new to us this year saki seems to have wintered well in the wet . W barley is the downer too cold and wet through the winter and has not tillered enough with too many poor patches(due to weather and a bad field choice with hindsight. The osr looks like it could well be the star of the show ,now at almost full petal fall thick even crop with plenty branches ,pods and moisture underneath ,sown mid august following sprayed off ww mucked subsoiled and ploughed ,fortunately followed by a deluge it came up in a few days and has never looked back, also think the residual N from the preceding ww helped.

Average bit of wheat after sugar beet
Drilled early November
And lake Garda gone now and the Effie swans.
will put a bit of bird mix in it about 1/4 acre

The spring wheat/winter barley companion trial is starting to look a little less terrible. Never seen spring wheat ears so big and they might even be ripe at the same time!
