Not too bad at all..are you aware that you travel in a different direction when mig welding compared to arc welding using rods.

Love my hoodie but its too small, need to get an XL, i still think it will be too short in the body though but at least it wont be so tight

Just ordered a better mask as the one that came with it is one of those hand held ones so have ordered a full mask that changes from light to dark when you go to weld

Think it leaves a wider neater looking bead pushing forward with a circular side to side motion. It takes practice, and trying with different power and wire speeds to perfect.

Way too cold, up the wire feed speed. Also theres no benefit to "whipping" MIG so bear that in mind. What gas are you using?

None as it only came today and came with a roll of gasless wire which is what i've practiced with
That's a good effort, you will find it easier with gas and solid wire. I would recommend one of the rent free gas like Hobbyweld, unless you are using over 30m3 per year it works out cheaper than renting bottles. 5% argon be fine as that welder won't weld anything over 6mm anyway

Pile of scrap metal and practice, practice, practice.
Man here doing some welding work, went away friday dinnertime not planned to come back until Tuesday, so I though I'd have try on some scrap bits, god I thought this is hard can't see a thing, ended up dropping the mask and breaking the glass, went out and found a new piece and fitted it. Made a whole world of difference, when he came back I'd used half of rods up, but he was fine about that and just added them to the bill.

If your planning on doing any reasonable amount of welding, especially if it's indoors (which it will be for MIG), I'd strongly advise getting an airfed mask. Although the "rules" only decided so a few years ago, welding fumes are, and always have been carcinogenic
