..handling trailer , likes of the Romney ranger the hurdles look like leg breakers in a pressured situation? Anybody got one? And how strong/ long lasting are they?

We have a GSF steel handling trailer. We have no issues with it for the price in all honesty. Hurdles are built to slide along floor so no problem moving them around. Yes unpacking and packing it up and hauling it around is heavier work if you are on your own especially.

Should add as for long lasting I imagine they are longer lasting than their ally counterparts from what I have heard, I have no direct experience though.

Polden Vale one here ---very basic, heavy duty ---must be 30 years old?
Got an alloy (Scotpen ) 14 (?) years old and hasn't had much repair work done in that time ---just a few odd welds where i misused it ---so both types wear well as far as i can see

I have the GSF one mentioned above. Funny enough I have literally just packed it up. Took 15 mins on my own.

Hurdles are fine. Not had a problem with them.

Pins are a bit soft and the front jockey wheel not the best but I’ve not broken anything yet.

My alloy prattley is 27year old .. not many steel races last that long before rust gets them

ive seen a demo one for sale that's set up on a forecourt with the round corners up top 🤭

i guess if you happened to use them in yard on the concrete and dragging them around they would wear the galv. off the bottom bars eventually.

but one can never ever have enough sheep hurdles, of any type, around the place, i suppose.

how many sheeted ones not just railed ones come with it btw for like use at the funnel area ?

GSF has two sheeted hurdles and one step through gated hurdles plus the standard hurdles.

Weigh like they have been made of real steel, not paper thin tubes like some big name kit...

I tend to move the hurdles in the loader, as less hassle than stacking on the race for my needs.

Pins are easy bend, I agree. No jockey wheel on mine, which will be rectified some time... I tend to move the race with a compact tractor a 3pt ball hitch
