Steel Seal head gasket sealant???

Has anyone used this or s similar product and had a good result? Or bad? Friend has a Defender with the 2.2ltr engine which is blowing out coolant at times,and overheating, then cools down and go's again. Not a lot to loose by trying it, but the money back guarantee is a lot of work to prove if this product doesn't work on that engine. Thanks.

I'm told K Seal is good stuff.

I suppose there isn't much to lose, apart from blocked heater cores and coolant galleries...

I'd rather do the job properly, then it's less likely to let you down, miles from home, on a dark rainy night....

It does work but you have to do it as it says

Some it cures some it doesn't but worth a try
I'm quite sure it reacts with the carbon/gas's etc not sure worth a try

Its a big ask of the product to work,but worth a try.Apparently its too many man hours on those engines to change the head gasket? And not much success ?? So its a case of try a sealant or a recon engine. So not much to loose. I'll have a look at the K seal website/ details. Thanks.

You can't stop that kind of leak, it's pressuring the coolant with cylinder compression. Any sealant will get blown away from the leak

Don't bother with this product, total waist of time. Used it in the past, told the seller that it did not work he then persuaded me to buy some upgraded sealant that did not stop the waterleak just blocked up the radiator.
