steel sheet prices

I have just been given a price for a 2.5 metre x 1.25 metre x 2.5 mm thick flat sheet at £53 + vat at the local Dyfed steel depot , I will need 2 to make transport box … is this good price... I should add that usually I can get reasonable length offcuts as well

If you're making from scratch and need to buy other bits I'd recommend pricing a new one up, I bought a Watson tipping one, very heavy built for £500.

6mm would be good but I will be using it fitted to dexta for light use only... I would think you have bigger tractor probably doing heavy work

It was often worked on a Dexta , but mainly on a Ford 5600 or an MF 165. Its still here , but I haven't used it for 4 or 5 years . Bucket on the front loader is handier.
