Are the treads that go into this ram both same or one side left and one side R/H tread , undone the one side on right of but wondering if other is diff?
Well it's FT and buring the poxy bit of flat off at the one end when I put spanner on and wrench on other so will have nowt to put spanner onto if feck it up properEither be the same or different.
What tractor?
Well not got the one side off yet and think you may be right on being R/H, phoned local case parts place up earlier but they not got back to me on the it ,Thought they were both rh. But they will be loctited so may need some gentle warmth to free it.
It's certainly an awkward ballache of a job I thought would be non to difficult, how wrong was II usually hope the side with flats on undoes first then I hammer a tight fitting spanner on and retighten that joint to help support the spanner. If the other side won't come undone I extend that side away from the seals and apply a little warmth.

Well it's off , heat and Stilsons....
Fancy locktiteing em on ffs ,
both standard thread .
Was thinking of grinder as last resort....I geround it ever so slightly wider so I could fit an adjustable on as the faces on them are much wider
Didn't think of that one , good ideaI've gone round the joint on side I'm replacing with grinder a little, just to same sort of depth threads would be, to relieve any clamping force where they butt together did the trick on stubborn one before. Tried heat before but didn't work before I got concerned about seals in rack.
