Some people on this forum like to push the anti Russian narrative, when in reality the Chinese Communist Party are far more of a threat to the Western world. In this powerful interview Mr Steve Bannon well and truly calls them out!!

Why are they a threat? They have purchased rights in foreign countries, opposed to bombing them.

When was the last time they indiscriminately cluster bombed a populated city?

They have publicly stated that they do not accept responsibility for the virus.

Your reply came within 18 minutes of me posting the 30 minute plus video, therefore you have engaged your mouth before your brain had a chance to absorb Mr Bannons perspectives. If you listened to it all you would know the answers to your questions...………………………...Jus sayin.

Experts like Mr Bannons predicted that we would all die a few weeks ago. However, we are nearly back to normality as from next week.

The Daily Mail is full of such experts on a daily basis. Who the feck cares. The Chinese couldn't care less and we better be kind to them, as we will be going cap in hand asking them to buy our bonds.

How do you make a rational decision if you only listen to one side of the argument ?

Of course I’ve listened to him. Over quite a period of time. Enough to know that, not a lot of good would come out of governments and administrations, acting to bring about a new order based on Bannon world view.
Bannon was / is, a big supporter of Farage and UKIP. You know by now what the British people think of Farage and UKIP. They told you and them what they think, when they UKIP stood in general election(s).

I think their demise was more to do with a more influential party promising to get the job done.

The 2020 election may never take place if the spiralling hatred on all sides continues to build, the battle taking place is far greater than mere politics, and Trump is no politician, he is a Viceroy.
The left are using every nasty, dirty trick in the book to remove him from power, but this world is going back into the light and the forces of darkness are doomed to failure. By the way Trump knows this ;) , so keep pinning your colours to the losers mast Ashtree et al as the sh11ty One World Communist Government you were all privately cheerleading continues to crash & burn.

I believe China is a threat to western democracies. The likes of China and Russia are seeing opportunities opening up to them around the world though having a weak half-whit in the White house, who they can easy out think and out manoeuvre. Unfortunately, I don't hold out much hope with Biden, but hopefully he will at least surround himself with knowledgeable people and not idiot friends and family as Trump has done.

Not sure about the video , I have not watched it yet but seldom does a day go buy when the broad sheet press are highlighting various issues about China, I think they are a real risk , we the western world think of them a vibrant profitable democracy when they are far from it and certainty not a democracy of any sort , nor do they look like ever changing to one.

Today the papers are reporting that china is over fishing water outside of Chinese waters, they have already over fished there own waters , to put it in context it was thought there where approx 3,000 Chinese trawlers fishing outside Chinese waters there are actually 12,490 more than 1000 are registered in Africa and over fishing African waters. single handily china is depleting the seas more than pretty much all nations combined .

on Saturday it was China wanting to impose Chinese laws on Hong kong , there is little reason for it , Hong kong has a very good economy and is democracy that until China stuck its oar in had little trouble but its residents do have the legal right to protest that china do not like , and the puppet leaders of HK do not have the backbone to reject The mainlands advances.

last week there was speculation that china will invade Taiwan, they dispute the lands of Taiwan and claim it as there own as it in fact once was, china has been upgrading its navy very considerably and also doing threatening exercises off the Taiwan coast they now also naval ports in Africa etc , Admittedly many other navies are of considerable navel strength so maybe you cant blame them , but they do have expansionist ideas as a nation, tying up vast mineral reserves at a governmental level world wide.

Australia is very dependent on China for exporters of grain iron ore and coal , two weeks ago the Australian PM backed call to have an independent inquiry into china handling of COVID 19, China object say that such a request is slur on there nation and immediately slaps a 80% tariff on Aus barley and stop beef exports temporarily claiming labeling issues just to pile on some more pressure.

China is using trade as a weapon there is no doubt about it, we in the western world are sleepwalking into a situation where China is holding most of the cards and there will come a point , if we are even already there when China can control and influence the countries of the rest of the world in our dealings with them as we fear reprisals in terms of trade .

Maybe we should be doing something about that now before its to late ?

It is fact that Russia interfered in the previous US elections and will continue to attempt the same.

I find it amusing that Trump and co deem China a threat to the West, yet are apparently happy to do tonnes of business with them. In reality the USA has made a great deal of money out of China because a large number of US companies outsource their manufacturing there.

An excellent analysis, but you missed out one important item - gold.

China and Russia have been stock piling gold. Gordon Brown in his complete lack of wit, sold our gold and told everyone he was going to do it, so the price fell like a stone before the sale.

The USA claims to have gold in Fort Knox, but have not allowed it to be audited in over 50 years. Few believe there is any gold left in Fort Knox.

China has been buying gold when ever and where ever possible. By comparison, the USA has been printing and devaluing dollars like mad.

China's real take over will come when they say, our currency is backed by gold and printed foreign money not backed by gold is no longer accepted.

At that point gold will shoot up in value to whatever China says the price is, Western currencies, stock markets and economies will collapse. At that point people will find their paper money is just worthless paper. Ask 1930s German, or modern day Zimbabwe, Venezuela or Argentina how far worthless over printed paper goes.

Did I not see in the media recently that some western countries may soon make it illegal for private individuals to own gold!!
What’s that about?

I had not seen that, but it would not surprise me. On 5th April 1933 Roosevelt made it illegal to hoard gold within the USA. Private citizens had to sell their gold to the government for $20.67 an ounce. Once all the gold was in the government in 1934 reset the price of gold to $35 an ounce (or the paper money issued for the purchase of gold was worth less). Government theft of private assets. Much like present day negative interest rates.

In summary, governments do not like private individuals to own assets the government cannot control. It also means the government can not appropriate it by things like negative interest rates. Once a private individual owns an asset like gold, it is outside the system and beyond the control and manipulation of the government.

Yawn... people claiming the dollar will be worthless and gold will be the only substitute don't understand money or why it is valued as it is. The world's economy outstripped the supply of gold long ago.

No the world economy did not out strip the price of gold. The government abandoned gold and suppressed the price of gold because they could not print it like paper money.

So now they print and spend without consequence (or so they think). How will Western governments ever repay their debts other than by creating more debt (ie print more money). Or stealing it through inflation or negative interest rates. Paying off debt by borrowing more does not work forever! Try it with credit cards and see how long you survive!
