stewardship 75% on account payment

No payment for 2019n
had 2018 as a loan on account
also had an inspection last harvest not had the written report so not certain what will happen now with covid 19 and every one working from home
took out a govment bounce back loan on the basis of low malting barley price and late stewardship due to covid 19

if the govment can organise pay out 100 s of thousands of grants And bounce back loans why cannot the Rpa get stewardship operating properly it will be soon half way through 2020

75 % of 2019 mid tier paid into the bank to day
had an inspection last harvest but had no report and 2018 payments all on account
when will the Rpa get caught up
may be 2023 or 2024 I intend to reaply In 2023 subject to land lords` permission
at the moment with it so dry stewardship looks better than growing food crops even though payment is 10 months after a crop would have been harvested
interest rate on the bounce back loan is 0% for the first year

We've had a payment today. It's quite a small amount but I think they have deducted the large amount they over paid for 2018 (because, when they demanded immediate repayment in Feb I pointed out that I still hadn't had 2019 payment so could they kindly wait and deduct it from that? A signed agreement and another two demands and it seems they might have done...) . If it's 75% I live in hope we might get some more later on.... Mid tier stewardship started 2017

Also received what might be 75%.
They might as well have done this when it was originally due back in December. So much for their excuse of making the payments more efficient!!

They said (according to the NFU) that these had been paid and 90% of Mid Tier and it was only the CS that was around 50%.
It would appear from the comments on here that this is far from the truth.

Almost needs a poll to see who has had 100% who has now received 75% and who has not been paid at all for 2019.
Thanks. I need to check. I had some money in December so I have been paid possibly.
Im lost off with these payments because they have faffed around with the dates so much.

Received 75% thank goodness, be interesting to see what happens with the ballance as I still haven't received a payment statement for 2018 yet. I think they must be in a right mess at RPA towers.

It’s no good doing the work if you can’t get paid though . Contract should be legally binding with interest added to late payment .

True. But this is the government. If you don't want to risk late payment, don't enter a scheme. It's rare a farmer pays me quickly but 6-18 months late isn't a way I'd want a large % of my income but I've never not been paid. Ask a building contractor what their bad debt % is and you'll see why they run on higher print margins on jobs.
