Nothing here yet for 2018 on a HLS/ELS agreement with a 2012 start date. Dunno why as it clearly states on my paperwork what the biannual payments are.

Do believe there actually 3 payments behind now as there was a 2019 payment due this month. so maybe I should just send them an invoice with over due on for the outstanding balance.
your on same year as me then Mine was Oct 2012 start date.
Only lying out the 75% end of last year & the 25% due by end of June now.
Be a bad job if it was 2 or 3 whole years mind. Id be starting a court case

My payments are 50% of the annual amount that was supposed to be every 6 months.

We got 75% of 2017 in feb last year and the balance in December. Nothing since.

That old chestnut ............................ didn't it use to be 'cheques in the post' !?!

........... and for clarity, I'm not sure why you are worried about your 2018 payments when several are still waiting for 2017.
What's the NFU doing about this diobolical situation? I'm skint because I've not been paid and have bills mounting up - be thinking about not bothering renewing my NFU this time
for sure

I can give you chapter and verse most of which is online but maybe it’s easier for you to say what you think we should have done that we haven’t done.

What’s your thoughts on the lack of payments @Guy Smith and are the NFU pushing the RPA on the subject?

Not complaining, just curious.

We’ve been pushing for sometime on a number of areas of poor performance with regard to BPS, CS and ELS/HLS but this particular chapter with 2000 agreement holders still waiting for their final 25% of their 2017 ELS/HLS payments is, in my view, a coming together of a number of factors such as incompatible computer systems made worse by a remapping exercise that had been put off for too long amidst a tupé transfer of responsibility between two government delivery agencies who didn’t exactly get on.

As for holding those to blame in some way accountable - unfortunately those who took the key decisions that led to this debacle have now left the scene.

As for the idea that shouting at someone in an ill-tempered manner will sort it out - I’m afraid that’s about as effective as letting rip on TFF.

As for taking it out on the NFU. I’m not sure who does anything more than the NFU.

of course what you could do is highlight to the media how michael gove's handling of his agencies is hardly an endorsement of his potential prime ministerial ability ....bit of negative publicity right in the middle of the tory leadership race

I was encouraged to go into this by Natural England, i stuck to my side of the bargain, did the work, followed the rules and so on yet they do as they like, it's totally one-sided, even if I get paid before the end of the year I will have lost well over a quarter of the money due in bank charges and interest and add to that the loss of credibility with suppliers who I've not been able to pay on time. Guy Smith, the NFU should be grabbing this one by the ballcocks, it should be number one priority.

it's a perfect free hit on michael gove at the moment....lets face it once we get our money...our agreements end...we're not going back are we ....if the environment's going to suffer why shouldn't gove

In the upper dales many farmers have destocked in some cases optionally in other cases forcefully because of sssi rules and moorland grazing rules. The livestock have now gone along with the income stream from them. People now reliant on stewardship monies that don’t appear.

Guy, there is no greater issue for you to deal with than a direct threat to your members livelihoods. I want answers and like someone else has said the NFU aren't saying very much at the moment.

i feel the NFU seem to be as powerless as the rest of us & maybes thats not there fault neither
but where does that leave us ? stuck at a dead end & nowhere to turn.

Guy like ffukedfarmer I have had a look on the NFU website and there's nothing this year about the current CS payments fiasco so if you are working hard on it why not tell us what your up to, we have a lot at stake and don't forget we fund the NFU and it's our money that's not been paid by Natural England.

Also the payments are pushed back all over the place i think iam only owed for 2018 but maybes i need to double check now... :(
Ours got restructured about 5 years ago we missed out on a payment for 12 months and they said it will be added on at the end of the scheme:scratchhead:, yet at one point we seemed to have an extra payment? This was maybe about 6 /7 years ago, (10 year scheme,) so I'm lost as to where we actually are:mad::rolleyes:.
Thank God it ends June 2020!(y).
Renew? Unlikely:cool:.

I’m a farmer in the CS scheme, i run a farm business. I know the issue first hand.

There is both an April and May update on our website but it’s in the secure members only area so I can’t link it here.

We are raising this at the highest level politically. I did just that with the minister at the Cornwall show yesterday. We are looking at legal recourses. We are offering advice.

There’s plenty about our work in the press such as here

http://www.farmbusiness.co.uk/busin...-defra-announcement-on-bridging-payments.html

Are you talking about CS or ELS/HLS payments. Which year are you waiting for?

But as said if there’s something you think we ought to be doing then I’m happy to listen to ideas.

For the reasons I’ve explained above - this isn’t easily fixed. I wish it were.

Another reason for this poor performance is that the RPA put most of their resource into getting BPS out ASAP,

Thanks

Guy
