So theres plenty of people registered on here now

When BFF comes back online are you all going to jump ship again and go back there or will you stay here and try and get everyone else to move across?

A lot of us don't even have a choice (I've made about 5 applications to BFF and have never managed to get past the admin approval stage - think he doesn't like me!) I was a member back on FWi in the days gone by and remember the big jump back then when everyone went to BFF.

So are we going to have a repeat of that and try to get everyone over here once BFF comes back up or are you all going to leave us again and go back to the ways of old?

I am very much hoping you are going to stay... as this place seems much better and hopefully the members will actually have a voice here.

I think we should stick  as I think this place will be a lot more open and transparent than BFF (and I have more trust in Clive not to go and loose all our emails / passwords again!)

When BFF comes back we could just tell everyone left on there we've all migrated to pastures new :)

Hopefully more BFF members will find this website and actively take part in discussions. A lot of people have registered already but plenty are still missing. If this forum is properly moderated (unlike BFF) I'll try and stick with this.

I have my ideas of what a fair and transparent moderation policy would be (basically trying to avoid moderation unless absolutely necessary and getting the members to largely self moderate, and where mod decisions do have to be made make them public and not just vanish threads ! )

BUT the most important this is what everyone else wants ? Anyone have any thoughts on what policies we want (if any)

If enough of us do it there will be a critical mass and we will be freed from the crutches of BFF and their power crazed policies

Clive, I'm not suggesting there should be a large list of rules but when for instance 3-4 topics (all in different category's of which most wrong) are started on the same subject it seems a wise idea to me to group them into one and shut all but one. If you never do anything yourself it will be unlikely that members will. You have to push them in the right direction. I've been on my share of forums during the last 10-12 years and the line between to little and to much moderating is very thin indeed.

Btw; where can I find the quote button?? Edit; found it!

Btw; where can I find the quote button??

This was asked earlier on another thread - its now just called 'Reply' and its at the bottom right of every post next to the 'Like' button - if you click it the post gets added to the box at the bottom in the normal quote syntax

Took me a while to find it too
