Hey,
Is anyone running these mowers (probably other models are similar ) ? It is frustrating that engine stops when there is no pressure on the seat (seat switch kills the engine). Of course it should happen if the PTO is engaged, but mine also does this when PTO is disengaged and parking brake is applied. Is that how it should work? If I have to move some things when mowing grass and I must leave the seat then the engine stalls (which is not good for the engine since it should be idled for some time before turning off).
My older Stiga Park cuts the engine only when the PTO is engaged.

Well if the parking brake is engaged the PARKING BRAKE light comes on and if the operator is absent from the seat the SEAT LIGHT comes on as well so the wiring and switches work like they should. It also does not allow to start if the brake pedal is not engaged and there is no weight on the seat. It they would be bypassed then it would make sense that motor would run if the PTO is engaged
