Even we’ve had a nice 71mm in the last week and grass is motoring now after 8 weeks of nothing. Elgin is usually wet all year from what 1 of my lambers tells me as she’s from there

We still need it to keep topping us up till harvest otherwise things will soon go off. Massive evaporation and transpiration at this time of year and although we have had some it’s still pretty dry through the profile.

Need to be careful what I say because crops are looking great at the moment, but we still aren't out of the woods yet.

Think we would need a 30mm or so to get the ground wet again. Its grass that really needs it. Looks like we are going to get more rain tonight, tomorrow.

Used to average around 27 inches , but large dry spells and clear skies ( hence two RAF bases) not sure where she gets were wet all year round from?

Had enough here for a while. 55mm in the last week, 2mm May, 30mm end April, crops looking okay before, but will hopefully now put on a bit of 'weight'. We always do better in a dry year.
