Rach wanted to go down to Crufts but managed to side step that one. So we endured hours of Ms Balding and the various classes on the TV . I did see a few lovely dogs but many many that were 180 degrees away from what I'd recognise as a breed example - Border Collie, Labrador and many othersMrs PSQ was watching Crufts on the TV last night. (I *really* can’t stand The Kennel Club).
It turned out to be the terrier class, and I was utterly horrified to see a JR in the ring along with the usual inbred genetic fudge ups that pass for ‘exemplifiing the breed standard’. I was always happy in the knowledge that the Kennel Club considered JR’s as ‘a type’ and were too snooty to bother with them, but now we apparently have an organisation and breeders who want to ‘standardise’ (fudge up) the wonderful range of JR’s that uniquely differ from region to region. Tw@ts.
Please ask..Delivered some sheep to chapel en le frith (high peak) on Friday and they had a lovely jr bitch that was being scanned this week and they were looking for homes. I don't know what the father was like but it was all done intentionally. If your interested I could ask them if they minded their number being passed on.
