Still no money for 2016

Was told it was for my 2016 claim but will be asking more questions on Monday morning , thank you.

Cant see how they can measure the fields in March 2017 for the 2016 claim year imo.

Be good if you can come back and update us after Monday and what the inspector says.

Key question's I would ask is : what is the two dates that a scheme year starts/ ends?? and then if he says it ends at end of Dec then I would ask him how he can be inspecting you 3 months after the scheme year has ended for 2016 and apply it to your 2016 claim??

Had a chat with the guy today, and although he's not able to tell me anything he said its was due to a uncomplete remote inspection that was started in the claim year, however that fact that he is mapping and checking everything not just the odd field suggests this might not be the case. Will know more tomorrow as we have a meeting with him to explain his inspection report before its submitted.

Thanks for the update(y)

I don't belief that anything he finds now can be applied to the 2016 claim year!

The fact they couldn't complete the remote inspection isn't your problem!

Take EFA rules, if you fallow land then it has to be fallow from the first of Jan 2017 to the 30th June 2017 for the 2017 claim year, say he finds a problem on some EFA land that you have, he cant apply the changes to the 2016 year as what is happening now on the ground isn't relevant to that year.

Also say you put a muck heap too near the hedge on 2 Jan 2017, he now finds that muck heap 3 months after that date and 3 months after the 2016 scheme year has ended, he can apply a penalty to any 2017 claim you make but I cannot see how it would be legal to apply it to a 2016 claim in this situation.

We're in the same boat - I've got a meeting with my local MP on Saturday to see if he can help. Surely there's someone we can complain to!

I complained directly to the RPA via there own form on 13/3/17, not heard a single thing since !. I have no idea what's happening with my 15/16 claims, the FCN people can't find anything out either. I've had a email about submitting a 2017 claim but have no idea how to code my land, I would also now have 2.5ha worth of entitlements spare which I have a buyer for. But since all my entitlements where clawed back in 2015 and my claims not sorted out since that isn't gonna happen either so more money lost if it ever does get sorted out.

I honestly really am wondering now why I'm carrying on !.

I feel terrible for you guys in england having to deal with rpa.
A lot of scottish farmers criticise our payment system, but they dont know they are born.
Notwithstanding that, the rural economy is melting fast due to cash delays.
