What did you think the Charolais show and trade was like? I tried to watch it at dinner time yesterday but all it did was buffer and stop ?
Lots of narrow framed bulls, some good bulls , decent trade, good average down 11 bulls on the yearWhat did you think the Charolais show and trade was like? I tried to watch it at dinner time yesterday but all it did was buffer and stop ?
Are there any breeds that are not over-fed at the major bull sales?A bit like some of the over-fed Charolais bulls.
Always makes me laugh when people say breed x is over fed or breeder x over feeds his cattle...you don’t get bulls at fat class 4 and 800 kilos+ at 15-18 months unless they’ve been well fed and if they don’t look like they’ve been fed no fudger wants themAre there any breeds that are not over-fed at the major bull sales?
Thought Charolais bulls were a poor show in general, & a very good trade.
I went up on Sunday.yes i did , did you watch / go ?

@Hesstondriver Are you bringing any to Newark on 21st March to the Multibreed sale? The commercial boys could have a choice of plenty of fair Lincoln Red's With the change in the beef job a good easy care Lincoln Red could be a fair choice for some commercial herds. I have now had 9 cows calve this year and thank goodness they are all up and sucking.
