Stobarts certainly have not disappeared from up here see dozens a day when out on the road
But this only affects the honest manits a bit hard to understand this as he would need both sets of plates witj insurance and mot,and road tax or an alert would be going off every time he met a traffic car ot static camera even if they were cloned a photo of one 400 miles away from a photo of the other would sound alarm bells
Depends how good all these anpr cameras really are. There are supposedly thousands of un insured cars on the road, why don’t they pick them all upits a bit hard to understand this as he would need both sets of plates witj insurance and mot,and road tax or an alert would be going off every time he met a traffic car ot static camera even if they were cloned a photo of one 400 miles away from a photo of the other would sound alarm bells
And losing millions on untaxed cars.Depends how good all these anpr cameras really are. There are supposedly thousands of un insured cars on the road, why don’t they pick them all up
The police don’t have the manpower to stop all the unregistered, untaxed, uninsured no MOT vehicles on the road. Reliance on cameras and ANPR means anyone up to no good with half a brain cell is driving round on false / cloned / stolen plates.Depends how good all these anpr cameras really are. And when the honest ones get a letter they repent their sins while the others just rollThe police don’t have the manpower to stop all the unregistered, untaxed, uninsured no MOT vehicles on the road. Does the anpr system have access to foreign number plates?its a bit hard to understand this as he would need both sets of plates witj insurance and mot,and road tax or an alert would be going off every time he met a traffic car ot static camera even if they were cloned a photo of one 400 miles away from a photo of the other would sound alarm bells
Lorry driving is much more tiring, the concentration level is completely different.Always find it funny
I know they run on roads but
Everyone expects truck drivers to do 8-9 hrs driving but drive tractors for twice as many hrs with out a thought
Heard on the radio the Aberdeen to Dundee stretch of average speed camerasI've heard the new ANPR and average speed cameras round here now make it easy for plod to setup a mile further down the road and then pull people into a nice big car park for a chat. No-one seems to be speeding since the cameras went up so I would hope they are catching the ones without tax / mot / insurance / or with a plate that says BMW but it is on a transit van.
It is do with the outcomes. Swerve a bit on a tractor and you only miss a bit of silage. HGV accident is 3 times more likely to kill someone than a car crash.Lorry driving is much more tiring, the concentration level is completely different.
No, it is to do with preventing “outcomes”.It is do with the outcomes. Swerve a bit on a tractor and you only miss a bit of silage. HGV accident is 3 times more likely to kill someone than a car crash.
Tractors ggo on road tooIt is do with the outcomes. Swerve a bit on a tractor and you only miss a bit of silage. HGV accident is 3 times more likely to kill someone than a car crash.
Sure, but there’s easily 100x more trucks/lorries on the road than tractors though. Chances of getting killed by a truck are far higher than with a tractor, purely based on numbers on the road 24/7.Tractors ggo on road too
Generally at slower speeds on slower, less congested roads though, and not for the entire time of their shift.Tractors ggo on road too
We had a comedian ,in for straw ,set off 4am onto ferry ,down to bury st edmunds with concrete panels , tipped ; into us at 6 pm loaded sheeted up , changed number plates , different card in , red diesel line connected into trailer chassis tank , and set off back ,he said he would change number plates again at newark because of cameras on a17 , ,who; s number plates are they , no idea he said just make them up . And he drove back to stranerar to hit 7 am ferry , ,
Wife asked him if he had wife and family ,and showed her concern about 27 hrs driving , .what if you have an accident ,and kill your self , his anser ,was , i will never know ,will i , these irish lads know how to do it , keep her lit as they say ,limiter rigged too ,and the v8 s tuned up
When you have near a ton of explosives (Fireworks) on board its not much fun at all.The a75 is no road for these Hero's to keep her lit on .The A75 is a scary road at ferry time...
And I thought the poor man's Renault was an Iveco...............................I thought the poor mans VOLVO was a Renault..................................
