Stockboard

I was thinking of buying some stock board for putting on some of the (indoor) sheep pens/fank. Has anyone got much experience with it? What thickness would you recommend? It’s mostly to sheet barred hurdles (stop them seeing other sheep/bad for dogs legs) how does it compare price wise than thin aluminium sheet?

I have used loads, 12 and 6 mm on pig and cattle doors, feed bunkers etc and 6 mm on handling systems for the cattle.

3 would be fine for sheep and perhaps that will help avoid the huge problem with the stuff - it changes size a lot when it is hot - I once had a sheet of 12mm laying part in the sun, that 4 foot end grew to almost 49 inches very quickly.

Perhaps fix it on with wire or cable ties for sheep?

As has been said it expands and contracts.

In the summer sun on the yard gate gets a wobble on and looks untidy but in the winter....👍
