Stolen Tuckwells of Dunmow

There must be hundreds of cctv in that area with all those ind units, yet at that time of night very few people, not that near any houses and straight out onto the a120 again without going past any houses!

Yes I suppose Alex, if they hung a left towards the A120, then there's no going through a residential area. If they went the other way, then yes.
I would have thought driving a tractor alone down the A120 under its own steam would have stood out like a sore thumb in the early hours, unless on a low loader. Which makes me think they would have gone the other way out to the Rodings.

I recon low loader, straight onto A120, and a big sheet over the top, then it won't attract any attention, driving a tractor that big round at night would attract attention. Unless its been hidden somewhere to see if its tracked.

Tuckwells yard is only a few hundred yards from an enormous Police Station which the thieves had to drive past in order to get onto the A120. Obviously the thieves knew that the Essex Police are all tucked up in bed by 9pm!

I believe they mostly work out of Braintree now, hardly any left in saffron walden area & very often just a lone cop in a car to cover a very big area at week ends!!!, had a piece of machinery stolen & all he could do was take a statement & no hope of finding it, was like I was wasting his time,... at least I got a crime number though!!, like you say it's a big building, suppose it to good to use!!.
