Stone core drilling

Have 7 holes to drill through my wall to fit MHVR units each of 100 mm diameter. Any suggestions. Just to put the job in context the walls are 900 mm thick made of 3 walls 300 mm thick solid millstone grit or sandstone. To date burnt out 1 pedestal drill, shattered 2 extension shafts, put crow bar through my lip, taught the locals a new foreign blue language and still only 700 mm through the wall.
Drill bit is 106mm diamond core drill and have tried both water lubrication and compressed air.

Any suggestions apart from getting in a team of professionals.

Hilti dd130 bolted to wall and give it its time , we have used it to go through 1m thick reinforced concrete took about 6 hours per hole

The sandstone just turns into a thick paste and then jams the drill. Unlike with concrete the excess water is just absorbed in the wall and causes real damage to the ancient lime plaster which I have to protect due to the farmhouse being listed.

we had 17 holes to drill into a concrete floor this summer and tried to hire a hilti core borer but despite several firms saying they could supply them none actually could so in the end we hired a floor saw and cut square holes, sorry not much help to you but you may find it hard to actually find a core borer, why not get a firm in to do it, at least its their knuckes that will get skinned

Been quoted 3000 per hole as its working at height. Just not going to happen.

We drill granite regularly which is hard as any stone I've ever seen , drill frame needs to be fixed to,wall level or will jam and don't force it , you can get dry cores for Hilti too ,they just don't last as long ,

This link will do the job easily if set up correctly it even has extension piece , sell it for same in a week when job done ,you might need to buy a new core

bloody hell:eek::eek:. I had to drill one 100 mm hole through a wall that had been built of stone, this was near radstock in somerset where miners had dug through this stone to dig coal, how they did it I dont know as it took me 4 hours to drill about 250 deep and burnt out a decent drill and buggered one core bit. good luck dont envy you the job

I never buy tools like that off ebay as I always assume its been nicked or is knackered. Was looking to hire one of them but as others have said when you come to order there suddenly not available. I presume because hirers have burnt out the electric drills hence looking for a hydraulic solution.
