Hammer and chisel,knock a stone out,random rubble in the middle, easier to knock a hole out and build back in
It needs to be a dry core drill,water will make it worse
Well if you can afford thirty or so new core bits keep going ,but me i would be knocking a big hole and rebuilding,do e it many times when installing boilers and vent in the old stone houses,we call it pudding stone,bits of quartz ans such like in the stone burns the coreThats the conclusion I have reached
