Stone wall style

So I have this stone stile on a wall boundary from my field into a neighbour's garden, looks to have been built in recently though before I owned the field, I wish to run stock fencing along this wall, my question is I see no reason for my neighbour to enter my field other than to trim back the trees and kindly leave the cuttings in my field........my first thought is a stihl saw it off as it's my side?

First step is to look at the council footpath map at the council offices.
If a statutory path is shown, leave it.
If not, then it is between you and your neighbour.

Bottom step looks a lot older, and looks to have in place a lot longer. Could it be council that have done it, old right of way? Did the same on parents farm years ago, never seen anyone use it mind.
Its into the neighbours back garden, seems to be a tree had fallen knocking the wall out, the tree has been chopped up and left, neighbour looks to have put stile in so he can trim his hedges on my side of the wall

Just cut centre out of the stock net to let it in tight to the wall and continue on with fence. A post either side tied together will hold centre lines tight.
