I will admit to getting carried away.

But a united Europe has never tried.

We (the west) should not have allowed him into Ukraine. We will have to fight Russia at some point, sooner the better, get it out of the way.
why fight, just carry on taking the money while the eu gives it to them, what's not to like ?

Sorry but I think it’ simply the “wrong man in the right place at the right moment in time” as the outcome seems to show. Zelensky didn’t have to surrender, he just had to agree to Ukraine remaining neutral, you have to remember he knew full well at that time that the West would not intervene whatever & the likely outcome of calling Russia’s bluff!
Aspiring to join NATO is written into the Ukrainian constitution. It will take an act of Parliament to change it.

It is not, and never was, in Zelensky's power to agree neutrality without Parliamentary approval.

Stalin used to sleep very late as he was up half the night sending execution orders.
No one was allowed to enter his room to disturb him on pain of death.
He had a stroke and collapsed during the night, but no one was brave enough till very late the next day to enter his lair to see where he was, by which time it was too late

Again, dont be so silly
No one wins a war like that
We are already at war, Putin will just keep killing people until he is stopped. The sooner the better.

I agree of course all will be losers, but we can't be held to ransom by this evil dictator.

I'm suprised & pleased how sanctions seem to be rattling Putin, hopefully the russians do what is needed like in 1917. If the police or army stopped obeying orders, thats putin finished.

Let sanctions do their job, putin is tying his own noose.
An attack by nato will simply bring the russians together to fight

Putin, sadly, is a puppet manipulated by Satan ( his own ego ) as are a great many other people in this world.

When we kids often whined for some hungered for toy, or possession, mother would throw up her hands in exasperation and say ....... if I gave you the moon you still wouldn't be happy; and that is how it is with dear old Mr Putin ...... Ukraine will not be enough to fill the empty void within his heart.

A man has pleaded guilty at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in Newtownards, Co. Down.

Gareth Gill (51) of Abbot’s Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to two charges under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, for which he was fined £150 each and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy

On June 25, 2018, PSNI officers went to Gill’s yard, where they found a large amount of waste consisting of scrap wood, pallets, carpet and underlay.

Discussion with Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) officers confirmed the site...
