Stopping back of pick up truck condensation

Has anyone any experience in what works and what doesn’t? Have an n&j aluminium canopy and suffering a bit with getting tools damp this winter.

Wondered if the self adhesive sound proofing type stuff would help

Any problems with them leaking? Or failing? Once I make the hole in the roof there’s no going back

never had a problem, and cutting a hole not as scary as you think. About to put one in the cab roof of my D-Max as its a bugger for condensation in there.

Would this work in the back of a transit van? All my tools are locked up in Snap-on toolboxes but they are all wet with condensation and some are starting to rust. Even in summer they seem to sweat, as if the spanner’s are freezing cold. Been wondering about some sort of a night heater just in the back.

Night heater is the answer. End of story.
Wet tools will dry out, batteries will function correctly etc, plus you won't need to leave the van idling so you can get a heat on a bitter day.

I think that is what others above have referred to as a night heater. Great little bits of kit but several £100s to get installed so MUCH dearer option than a basic vent

My canopy is ally checker plate, I can’t seem to find for certain online if the flettner vent will seal properly on that?

just grind the chequers back flat in the area that you need to seal............
