Stopping point falling off an aitchison drill

My aitchison seedmatic has an annoying and expensive habit of losing points. I have a lot of flints. Short of driving slower (was at 6k today, and still one fell off), anyone got any bright ideas?

I believe I have mk2 koko tips, if that means anything.

Another roll pin inside the normal one? A bolt? Anything else?

Thanks!

A bolt would stick out and would need to be strong, are the pins falling out or breaking ? If the later can you get some higher tensile ones?

Thanks- not sure- theres nothing left once the point has gone. It is also impossible to feel when one has failen off.. tempted to pull a big magnet behind me!

Time to invest in a metal detector for any sprogs you may have and offer them a suitable recompense for each one they find... Alternatively, invite the local detecting club in.

Happily, not lost any here....yet! I have doubled up on roll pins for added strength on machines before now. High tensile bolts and spot weld the nut on...?

Hi I supply the original Aitchison drills imported from NZ bit concerned your losing so many points I would be interested in looking at your problem, all the ones supplied this year and last I've only supplied 1 replacement point.
