I agree about the direction . It’s hitting the house from the north as strong as I can remember .
debris everywhere and reports of lots of trees down .
can just see half garden shed on front lawn and looks like it’s bounced off the garage roof causing damage .
waiting for daylight to see what farm looks like .

Hell of a rough night here. Power went off 11pm Looking at the Northern Powergrid faults map they are going to be busy for a while.
Old Agreco genny started 1st click & earning its keep tonight.
Must be the 1st powercut we have had for 12 months

Some mess around here more trees down than standing , Lads have been out all night moving snow, sleet & trees, just waiting on a call to go & start help clean the roads up , so traffic can move again

Noise and driving rain last night. Trees still moving like the inflatable wavy men with their arms in the air.
Just waiting for daylight to assess roof sheet location and firewood 2022 situation.
Part built lean-to should be ok, 2t of concrete panel sitting in the legs should help.

Gusts up to 35mph here. No worse than other stores we've had before I'd say, but not very often it's a Northerly. Luckily my house is fairly sheltered on all sides. Just glad we brought cattle in this last week as our low lying grazing fields, where they were, have hardly any shelter from the north.
